eyko Beats for BusinessObjects
BusinessObjects gave you reports. eyko Beats gives you decisions.
You don't need to rip out your BO investment.
You need a decision layer above the universes and reports you already have. eyko Beats connects to your BusinessObjects, runs Playbooks against the data behind it, and delivers the answer with the context, in minutes.
The gap
BusinessObjects is doing its job. The gap is what happens after.
BusinessObjects lands structured reports, schedules them, and puts a universe between the business and the warehouse. But every question that matters still ends with a report, and that's the gap eyko Beats closes.
Crystal Reports nobody acts on
You commissioned the report a year ago, and the team that requested it stopped opening it three months in.
eyko answer
eyko trades the report for a Playbook: same data, framed as a decision, delivered when it matters.
Migration projects without clear value
Moving off BO starts with auditing which reports are still used, and that audit alone is a project.
eyko answer
eyko audits report consumption and identifies which to retire, rebuild, or re-frame as forward-looking decisions.
Finance pack delivered as a PDF
Your monthly close lands as a PDF that took an analyst three days to assemble.
eyko answer
eyko replaces the close pack with a live briefing: same numbers, with cause analysis and recommended actions threaded through.
Why it's hard
BusinessObjects wasn't designed to answer questions. Here's what that means in practice.
UNIVERSE LAYER
You can't query the data directly — you query the Universe.
BusinessObjects sits on top of a semantic layer called the Universe (.unx or .unv files). To get data out, you work through the Universe definitions, not the underlying database tables.
TWO PRODUCTS
Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence are completely different tools.
Crystal Reports is for formatted, pixel-perfect documents. Web Intelligence is for ad-hoc analysis. They have different data models, formula languages, and connections; skills do not transfer.
LEGACY FORMATS
Your most important reports may be in formats no one can edit.
Many BusinessObjects environments have Crystal Reports built years ago by consultants who are no longer available. The .rpt format is proprietary, and the business logic is buried inside it.
eyko Beats can connect directly to the data sources that power your BusinessObjects environment, delivering the same intelligence without the Universe dependency.
The conceptual frame
1 + 1 = 3
Your existing system. Your data. Your history.
Decision intelligence. Playbooks. Live analysis.
Answers. Context. Action.
You spent years and serious money on BusinessObjects. It adds a decision layer above your existing reports. One that delivers answers, not static PDFs.
How it works
From BusinessObjects to decision. Three steps. Same day.
- Connect or import
- 1
- Run a Playbook
- 2
- Get the answer, not just the report
- 3
Point eyko Beats at your BO universes, the underlying database, or a Crystal Reports / Web Intelligence extract. No warehouse to build, no IT ticket; first Playbook ready in minutes.
Pick the question that's been sitting on your list. "Which reports are still being used?" "Why is this KPI moving?" "Can the close pack be a live briefing instead of a PDF?" The Playbook scopes the data and runs it.
eyko delivers an executive-grade briefing: what happened, why it happened, what to watch, and what to do next. A decision to act on, not a static report to interpret.

The Building Blocks journey
You don't have to connect everything before you see anything.
Start where you are. Add what you need, when you're ready. Every block you add builds on the last. Nothing gets replaced.
Drop in a CSV or Excel from any system. Your first Playbook runs in minutes. No warehouse, no IT ticket.
You don't need to plan the full architecture before you connect your first system. Each stage works independently. Adding the next one doesn't change what you've already built.

FAQ
Questions BusinessObjects teams ask before they start
Practical answers
How eyko Beats sits alongside BusinessObjects, what it costs, and what it takes to get going.
No. eyko Beats sits above BusinessObjects as a decision intelligence layer. Your BO platform continues to run your scheduled reports and universes exactly as it does today. eyko adds the analytical and decision layer on top, so you get the benefit of both without a migration.
eyko Beats connects via the BO universe connector, directly to the underlying database (ODBC/JDBC), or via file-based import from Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence extracts. Most customers are running their first Playbook within 30 minutes of connecting.
No. eyko Beats is designed to work with real-world data, which means data that is messy, inconsistent, and incomplete. The platform surfaces data gaps as part of the Playbook process and handles deduplication, classification, and normalization automatically. Cleanup happens around the answer, not before it.
Which scheduled reports are still actually being used, which Crystal Reports can be retired or re-framed, why a KPI is moving the way it is, and how the monthly close pack reads as a live briefing instead of a static PDF. Playbooks structure these into repeatable briefings your team can run at any cadence.
Yes. eyko Beats audits report consumption from your BO platform and identifies which reports are still used, which can be retired, and which deserve to be re-framed as forward-looking Playbooks instead of rebuilt as static reports. That alone often shrinks the migration scope by half.
eyko Beats is a monthly subscription priced to let you start small and prove value before committing at scale. There is no six-figure implementation cost and no multi-year contract required. Most customers begin with one or two Playbooks, see value within the first week, and expand from there.
SAP has not released a dedicated BusinessObjects MCP server. SAP's AI integration strategy is focused on SAP Build and SAP BTP, which connect to SAP ERP and S/4HANA rather than BusinessObjects specifically. eyko Beats connects to the data sources that power your BusinessObjects environment, providing decision intelligence against the same data without the Universe dependency. For SAP's current developer resources, see the SAP Developer Center at https://developers.sap.com/.
Your BusinessObjects is already doing its job. Let eyko Beats do the rest.
No new BI tool. No big migration. Connect your BusinessObjects and get a decision, not a static report.
